I Should be Whipped

For not mentioning that my little bitty hometown football team won its 2nd AA state football championship this year (other one in 1992, amidst allegations of cheating over cleats).

Congrats, Blue Tornadoes. And thanks for not obfuscating victory with controversy this time around:
Vaught then came to Roanoke as the head coach at Patrick Henry, but resigned midway through the 1989 season after making a racial slur about an opposing player at halftime.

Vaught later made headlines at Richlands, admitting that he outfitted his team in illegal cleats during a 1992 Division 4 semifinal victory over Salem. He was suspended from coaching for one season by the Tazewell County School Board. Vaught returned to Richlands as head coach in 1995 for a short tenure.
